William Pierce, MD, PhD

A graduate of University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Pierce earned his medical degree from the UCLA Center for the Health Sciences. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in hematology and medical oncology at UCLA Center for the Health Sciences. Dr. Pierce is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. He is a member of several professional and community organizations including: the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, OHSU Cancer Institute, Salem Cancer Institute, Salem Memorial Hospital’s Cancer Committee and the Salem Hospital Foundation. He has been recognized for his work with many awards and honors including: the American Cancer Society’s 2009 Community Leader Award, Salem Rotary’s Paul Harris Fellowship, and the American College of Physicians’ Howard P. Lewis Distinguished Service Award.
