Renee Prins, MD
Originally from Snohomish, Washington, Dr. Renee Prins graduated summa cum laude from Seattle Pacific University with a B.S. in Biology and minors in Spanish and Chemistry. She earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society and awarded the Daniel D. Comstock award as the top medical student in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Prins completed her Internal Medicine Residency training at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from residency, she was selected to serve as a Chief Resident and Instructor of Medicine. Dr. Prins completed her Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship at OHSU, with a research focus in chronic lymphocytic leukemia and lymphoid malignancies. She has co-authored three papers published in peer-reviewed medical journals, and has presented several scientific abstracts at national meetings.
Dr. Prins is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology, and is a member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Medical Association, the Marion Polk Medical Society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She is a member of the Salem Cancer Institute, and serves on the Genitourinary cancer committee. Dr. Prins sees benign hematology and oncology patients and is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Prins and her husband have three young sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, hiking and camping.
